Urban Legend

       The urban legend I read was called "The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs". During this legend a teenage girl goes and babysits for a family that has three children. When she arrives at the house all three of the children are already asleep and the parents tell her to not to disturb them. She follows their orders and quietly works on her homework downstairs. She receives a phone call and there was no one on the other line. The phone rings again but this time with a creepy voice that says 'have you checked on the kids'. This phone call was made two more times. The girl was very scared and called the police. The police were able to track the caller to the same house but upstairs. They tell the girl to get out of the house and right as she did the man appears at the top of the stairs covered in blood. He had murdered all the kids.
       This story creeped me out a lot as I tend to babysit a lot of kids. What I have learned from this story is to check on the kids and to make sure they are in their beds and safe. Also to report anything supicious in the house to the parents. Always to check your surroundings as well. This would be a major nightmare for me if this were to happen to me.
